Join the Bristol Light Project and craft your own Persistence of Vision lights for your bike wheels. The device is a single row of flashing LEDs that creates the illusion of (moving) images when the wheel spins. The lights we make will be programmable with any pattern of your own creation!

Book your place now. The earlier you book the easier it is for us to prepare. Choose your preferred colour or go all out and go for the RGB version that can display any colour under the sun. Pre-order additional kits to make at home. All proceeds go to the Bristol Bike Project.

No previous experience necessary as able technicians will be on hand to help and instruct you. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Early Prototype in action

All is proceeding well, preliminary flights are progressing extremely well. The fungus is spreading but is not a cause for concern.

Much is happening at our secret research location. Interstellar bicycle travel is a definite possibility, although Hintsches still keeps receiving unexpected electric shocks and alien fungus like life-forms keep appearing.
All will be revealed sometime in late August somewhere in a field in England.

This morning these sacred artifacts appeared. We believe they are gifts from extra terrestrial life forms to help us with navigation through worm holes.

A six day workshop run by Spoke'n'Chain, that will give participants a hands-on introduction to the art of decorating a bicycle for fun, for carnivals and parades or as a piece of art.

Running concurrently alongside the workshops will be an Exhibition of costumed bicycles at the Create Centre. Some of the work produced in My First Bicycle School of Arts will be displayed in this rolling exhibition. Feedback and input from this course will go towards creating a handbook for bicycle costuming to prepare Bristol for its first Cycling Carnival in September.

10 bicycle frames and a Hintsch later the Quadragon is launched. It's a beast of a bicycle. Twice round the Island it went, without trailer and then with and I had the honor to be towed around on the bedframe. Everything works just right. We're excited and proud to give birth to such a beautiful creature. Now! The next step is to give it a skin and a body and breathe some life into it.

Refugee week in Queen's Square

B-Bike-A-Lula went out for a Sunday afternoon ride in Queens Square.
It was lovely! There was a big picnic-party going on, with Ethiopian band, polish dancers, drumming and dancing with the Tribe of Doris, the Felix Road Ventures Stilters, the Playbus and ice-cream (eventually).
The B-Bike had a wonderful time. She met some teenagers who adopted her for a wild drum and bass session, just like being at the Black Swan.
Lots of children wanted to ride her and they went round and round and round Queens Square many times. Can we do this every week!?!
